Committee Meeting

Tuesday, October 30, 2007
6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Conference Room, Municipal Building

Attendees: Jeff Albrinck, Doug Lohmeier, Bill Puthoff, George Snyder, Gary Foust, Dave Nichols and Don Apking.

I.      Finance/Administration

        1.      2008 Budget Figure changes will be distributed at combined committee meeting to finalize budget.
        2.      Health Insurance - Applications for a comparative bid from Hyland Group were submitted, should have bid back by next meeting.

II.     Police

        1) School Zone Glendale-Milford Rd/Evendale Elementary
                Mayor to discuss with Princeton Administration
       2) Personnel update
               Sgt Asbrock is still off & appealing Workers Comp decision
        3) Litigation update
                Summary Judgment have been filed scheduled for a hearing in November
       4) Training update      
                HB requiring training has been met & State will reimburse $2000 in 2008
       5) Status of car break-in's residential area
                Updates on 2 incidents in the Village, 2 arrests were made and root cause was the vehicles were left unlocked.
        6) Committee approved $25,000 for police carport
        7) Chief Foust provided an evaluation of the first PENN ALERT use, overall received positively but procedure needs refining.
        8) Committee approved replacing the Datamaster (Breathalyzer) this year because of multiple malfunctions and repair service

III.    Recreation

        1.      Commission revised budget
                Additions included $6000 for a Funbrella at the pool, $12,500 for Soccer Uniforms replacement, $3000 for Pavilion Events
                Deletions/Reductions included removing $4000 for pool vacuum & $4000 in Program Development.

Other Items:  Motion to approve 10/2/07 minutes, J. Albrinck, second by B. Puthoff, all in favor
